Item Information An superb Italian Sunday night dinner was enjoyed at the Casa D'abruzzo e Molise Club on April 18th. There was much dancing,Italian music, and fellowship. Club Rotarians, their Partners and friends welcomed those from the Adelaide Chapter of Unesco(United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization),to raise funds for a newly created Foundation jointly supported by Unesco Adelaide and The Rotary Club of Woodville Inc. The Foundation has been created to assist Indigenous schoolchildren with learning difficulties and lift their level of proficiency to a predetermined level from where they will have the confidence to cope with life challenges. Initially this will benefit selected children on Kangaroo Island. The program has begun already under the auspices of SA Government educational authorities. Money was raised at this event by a raffle which featured a magnificent gilt framed, bevel edged mirror donated by Rtn Mob Manera, and wine donated by Rtns Tony Taddeo & Fred Bosco. There will be another fundraiser - a new movie release in July. Watch our Diary of upcoming events for details. If you wish to specifically donate to this project, or learn more about its objectives, please contact Rtn Declan Somerville via his email: somervilled@missionaustralia.com.au or write to the Club at PO Box 97 Woodville 5011
